Beware of artists

Mos Def is one of the most talented artist in the world. I do not know Mos Def but I wish I did, from simply listening to his music to watching the most random Youtube videos of him, I get a strong feeling for the mans character: "Cool as hell.". There is one video I recently watched that sticks out the most though; Mos Def was discussing how he gets paid at most of the shows he performs at(very humoriously might I add), and near the end he quotes Queen victoria. He says "Beware of artists - they mix with all classes of society and are therefore most dangerous..." -Queen Victoria. This quote and the explanation Mos Def gives immediately after stating it, not only attest to his wealth of knowledge and cleverness, but the quote in it self touches me on like a deep ass "DAMN" level. I cannot do it any justice through writing, so just watch the video.

Decisions

Church & State it is....Madvillain Theme jus helped me decide exactly what I wanted to do, all I could picture was burning croses and angry preachers pointing.

I need inspiration...

I honestly want to change my topic choice for my video, something a bit more calming. But my beliefs are both very critical of our nation, how can I possibly make a video essay about separation of church and state, or the downfall of America due to greed? It's possible but how?

DAMN!

I just wasted ten minutes creating a video that in no way related to my project, an effort not totally wasted though, I now have my creative juices flowing. I think I will focus on three artist in my video, MF DOOM (of course), Flying Lotus, and Mos Def.

It's not me

I must transform into a video editor within a month. :-/ I am the most anal person ever when it comes to Audio, I have tried music production and failed epically on account of my impatience and unquenchable thirst for perfection (at least something close to perfection). For me to combine this "analness" with actual video should be interesting, I think I'm gonna need more than a month with this one.

Life

I'm just an 17yr old guy from Chicago that blogs, nothing special at all, I am NOT a writer of any sort just a guy with an opinion. I hate when a blogger considers them self a writer. I mean if you were a writer you would be published or at least acknowledged outside the realms of the Internet as a person who writes not blogs. But anyway I'm siting in my front room right now contemplating my future, with fear of course, I fear what my future holds for me honestly. I never really achieved much academically and I retired from sports, so what are my options? Army? Hell no I enjoy being able to sleep when I feel the sudden urge, and I do enjoy keeping a pretty sloppy bed so that's not the answer. College? Well yea but potentially a 2.00 GPA and 24 ACT I don't see many scholarships falling my way because my parents are not very affluent, and the idea of community college just makes me cringe. So what can I do? I don't know maybe I will have an answer after my power nap. Oh yea I typed this from my phone, so I apologize for the grammatical errors haha...later!

Cereal Fein

I asked my friend to snatch me some Reese Puffs Cereal because they are so DELICIOUS...hopefully she comes through for a player. Even though I enjoy the delicious swirls of a Cinnamon Toast Crunch the most, Reese Puff always seem to pleasure my taste buds Haha. Now on a day like this with the sun shining and all after the little storm, I should be outside not blogging about cereal, but I hate the after effects of rain its very muggy and damp which screams "get yo ass in shower" on account of the humidity in the air, idk why I guess I'm just weird like that. In fact I cant function without a shower, before I sleep or leave out to do ANYTHING, I MUST shower. I just don't like mixing my days, in the since that once one segment of my life is complete I must wash it off before I can start anew. There's nothing deep about it, no hidden meaning or lesson I'm trying to teach, I just hate grim but do with it as you will haha. But I digress back to the cereal, it would be nice to have a box to accompany my ice cold milk, speaking of milk is it me or do you too have to have your milk Ice FREAKING cold in order to eat a bowl of cereal. Maybe it's another one of my weird pet-peeves but my milk must be to the point were it has small ice chips in it, before i pour it over my cereal. In my eyes there is nothing worse breakfast wise then a bowl of soggy cereal and warm milk so to prevent this I usually stick the milk in freezer for about 20 minutes. But again maybe its just me haha. Enough of my rambling, I'm gone. I think I will let my friend read this post haha in the hopes that it seriously persuades her to get me a box of cereal (crosses fingers).

The Beast

DAMN the cpu is down its seems that the Mcafee and Norton subscriptions have expired and so my irresponsible web surfing has come to a halt, momentarily. It seems like the Internet is a very dangerous place. This is the first time since we bought the CPU two years ago that it has been corrupted totally and I have explored almost every region of the Internet both legal and illegal lol and this is the first time the beast has ever been brought down. The $50, I plan on investing into its renewal is well worth it, in order to maintain its current memory content; because the amount of music, movies, and pictures I have amassed over the last year alone is easily worth the investment. So lets hope and pray that it is not to late for us to save the beast because if so this will be the second time I have lost a mass music collection and I will go into a deep depression if it happens again. More so this time I have alot more at stake when taking into account the pictures and movies I have yet to back-up, plus the programs installed that I may not be able to back-up. Lets just say I am FUCKED if I cant restore the Beast and bring it back to full health. But for short term goals I plan on backing every bit of media I possibly can on a portable drive hopefully I am able to access it on Monday. Oh yea I typed this on my phone haha sorry for spelling. The Fantastic Mr. Fox

PLEASE purchase this film, I don't make many recommendations on different forms of entertainment like movies and music, but this was an outstanding film, more like a piece of art. The film was witty, silly and very amusing all at once, with an all-star cast I feel that each character held their own no matter how large or small the role. The film was very well executed overall, the scintillating plot, the visual choice of using actual figures for the characters, to the clever dialog. I could continue to list what I loved about this film but this post is already boring enough haha; go find it download it, On-Demand, DVD store haha I don't care lol just watch it.

Its VERY ironic that our country is named the United States but as a whole we're the most segregated culture in the world. If the cause is'nt Race it's Religion, if not Religion it's political views; to some, politics counts as a religion. I mean, I am not the koombaya type but can we come together in times other than a crisis. Historically the downfall of civilization stems from separation of powers and greed, and the US has almost run its course. The fall of the our countries reign of power is on its way and at the pace we are on it's coming sooner than later. All great Empires fall, honestly America isnt half what Rome was to the world; a much more well structred political system and overall more badass army haha, still the greatest Empire ever in my opinion USA is half of what Rome once was.

Wondering where the next rat starts while blood leaks from where there was track marks in the middle of this endless race at a sprinters pace all the while long sleeve shirts cover embarrassments he's tryna save face... DAMN im deep lol
