The Beast

DAMN the cpu is down its seems that the Mcafee and Norton subscriptions have expired and so my irresponsible web surfing has come to a halt, momentarily. It seems like the Internet is a very dangerous place. This is the first time since we bought the CPU two years ago that it has been corrupted totally and I have explored almost every region of the Internet both legal and illegal lol and this is the first time the beast has ever been brought down. The $50, I plan on investing into its renewal is well worth it, in order to maintain its current memory content; because the amount of music, movies, and pictures I have amassed over the last year alone is easily worth the investment. So lets hope and pray that it is not to late for us to save the beast because if so this will be the second time I have lost a mass music collection and I will go into a deep depression if it happens again. More so this time I have alot more at stake when taking into account the pictures and movies I have yet to back-up, plus the programs installed that I may not be able to back-up. Lets just say I am FUCKED if I cant restore the Beast and bring it back to full health. But for short term goals I plan on backing every bit of media I possibly can on a portable drive hopefully I am able to access it on Monday. Oh yea I typed this on my phone haha sorry for spelling. On the many social networking sites I am currently logged on, it seems that this show "Bad Girls Club" has been the topic of choice for men and women alike. So I decided, Hey! why don't I check this show out, so I found out what channel it was on and tuned in, needles to say I was not entertained the least bit. I gave "Bad Girls Club" about 5 minutes to entertain me but I started to feel a sudden case a retardation falling upon me so I turned the channel before my drool hit my shirt. Now don't get me wrong I love senseless violence and half naked mid 20's women with swimsuit bodies showing them off every chance they get, but something about this show is how should I say, distasteful? Maybe I have reached my Reality TV limit FOREVER with it being one on every channel and all. But I am not a fan on TV to begin with honestly, if not for HBO, Sports and a select few shows (Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad and Rescue Me) I would have very little need for a TV. I mean I watch "The Office" and "Lost" on the computer lol, but I digress; Bad Girls Club is a piece of shyt show in my opinion and they have turned my pleasures of violence and half naked women into something "dirty", how dare they? I just hate to see beautiful women act so ugly, especially towards each other, both physically and verbally, it's a turn-off in my eyes. Sorry "Bad Girls Club" gets the boot.

Facebook, munchies and Fat people....

It is a shame that the only thing teens in my demographic can turn to as a form of entertainment on any given night is centered around, eating, having sex, consuming illegal substances and technological devices (CPU, Gaming System, Cell phone, etc.). In my eyes this should eliminate any wonders of why we teens act the way we act and why America is the most over weight country in the world. We have nothing to do, besides the $11 movie and wide range of restaurants one may dine, the life of a citizen under the age of 21 is relatively bland. It seems that our lives are centered around Facebook, MacDonald's, and the AMC, what are my other options. Other than the occasional concert or "Juke Jam" I have nothing to do in my leisure, besides Facebook, movies or food, I could smoke some weed or drink some Hennessey Black but that's wrong I shouldn't be doing that, but why not, the people I am suppose to look up to aren't providing me with any constructive/affordable activities to take part in. It's very disappointing to be honest; the system seems to be structured in a way that puts American youth at a disposition; we are trained to sit on our asses and spend money on menial forms of entertainment. My friend Sydney and I have sat for approximately 3 hours trying to figure out something to do on a Sunday night and with the help of Google and our collective intellects we came up with NOTHING, granted it was a Sunday night but none the less, every listing we came upon had something to do with a bar our lounge where drinks are served. It seems that liquor is the culprit behind a teenage scarcity of entertainment because with liquor comes profit. We as teenagers cannot generate that profit, at least legally, and in-order for there to be some sort of venue for teens to enjoy it must be profitable, because everyone knows nothing gets done unless there is incentive. But what could there possibly be that is both affordable and profitable and serve as entertain to people under the age of 21. Honestly I don't know but I will definitely be taking it into consideration.

Just how I feel...

In my favorite class IMAGES, we were having a basic lesson on what an image actually is and what is real vs. what we perceive as reality. The idea that an image in the media is not always what it seems, and how today more than ever an image should be held in the same categories as word of mouth or a piece of writing is very interesting to me. Like if I cant believe a freaking picture, an actual visual representation of a past event or person, really makes me wonder what can I believe? Is today's media that thirsty for perfection? They ("The Man") are taking the one document that could substantiate events or appearance and sodomizing it with doctorizations (lol yes I made that up), which brings a bit of should I say, "fear" to mind(no online dating for me). Seems that the world is a big reality TV show, "Survivor" maybe, everyone looking for that edge, a way to come ahead of the pack by any means necessary; I don't know who to trust. But I can't definitively say that ALL pictures are edited in some way shape or form but I can say be weary of your perception of reality vs. manufactured expectations, molded by today's media. Basically don't believe the shit you see on that bill board, "She ain't that cute"...lol

Hypebeast Warning!!!

Today is definitely a new day. There have been numerous sightings of Kanye and Lil Wayne wearing Timberland Boots (All wheat joints), and I feel that this is the ultimate "Hypebeast recognition test". If any of you streetwear niggas out here in Timbs please remove them because you were too good for Timbs in the winter. So please don't start wearing them in the summer because Kanye had them on (back-wards ass niggas lol), you're not Yaye. Also while I'm on the subject, K-Swiss No! I must admit that K-Swiss are not as ugly as I remember, "you know", the ever so mocked low-top everyday joints either black or white "Yea You know". People will start to see the same niggas who mocked the K-Swiss BRAND rocking them, because the OG's call them cool or a celeb might be seen rocking them. I think it is a shame how fast trends change, and how unoriginal people are. Get your own style! I mean if you honestly have certain affection's for an item then its ok but if you flowing with the trends you're a Hypebeast, but on here it's "Drooling Robot!"

Today Is a Good day....

Over the last........ can I say 2 months I have been expanding my horizons on this Hip-hop shit. To be honest, I gave up on "Hip-hop"(minus the old Faithfull's Wayne, Kanye, Lupe, Jay-Z etc...) a while back and saut out alternative sounds for my music fix, i.e. Jimmie Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Jasmine Sullivan, John Legend, Beatles, System of A Down, Beethoven (Moon Light Sonata go hard), Ella Fitz, even the fucking JUNO soundtrack lmao; and I could go on and on even more lol.

Anything to patch the hole "pop/dance-rap" carved in the music portion of my sole.

BUT today is a new day (Brace yourself), actual music is back in Hip-hop. These artist actually care about their music and not just a million dollar ringtone or maybe they just cold, I don't know and do not care because good music is good music. Wiz Khalifa, Wale, Drake, Big Sean, Fly Union, Clipse, Mf Doom, Dom Kennedy, Asher Roth, just to name a few(well the ones I can remember)...

I think if you don't know about these artist PLEASE give them a listen and TURN OFF B.E.T!!!

Weird.........

Ok! So......... is it just me or was the last season of the Fresh Prince weird...? I say this because Will and Lisa had got engaged and were in an intimate relationship and all that right? Ok that's cool, but their parent's hated each other and the marriage wouldn't work without their support. Ok your probably thinking like what is this nigga talking about, what's your point?? Let me finish. So Will and Lisa made a plan to make their parents cool so everyone's happy less stress during wedding and all that, but! There was a problem (at least to me) their plan worked (a little too well). Now you might be thinking, how is that a problem??? Unless you are an outside the box person (Like me) and you have already realized the weirdness, but for those who are still inside the box, let me answer.

Well when Will's mother and Lisa's dad became friends they got closer and closer and closer... and yeah lol. Their parents started fucking each other(you see??), even though Will and Lisa were engaged, their parents felt they should have a little intimate affair of their own. I think the parents eventually got married. By law Will and Lisa were step-brother and sister.

The show had cut off before you could find out if they got married or did it?? I don't really remember, doesn't really matter one can infer that they still got married. Minus the whole plot twist and arguments the show might have thrown in you can be sure that Will and Lisa lived happily ever after. But my question is what made the writers toss that one in their? I am just saying, why them is that right, to marry your step sibling? Kind of weird to me but that's me Just a thought lol.

Having Wardrobe Vs. Being "Fresh"

Well I have wondered about this for a while because most people think they are fresh simply because their outfit could pay someone's mortgage. So what is the difference between someone who has "Wardrobe" Vs. someone who is "Fresh"?

Well first we must establish what these terms mean, having (Expensive)Wardrobe in this sense is someone who has a lot of expensive clothes, Kid Robot, BBC, Lanvin, Ato, PRPS, etc... Then you have the term "Fresh", this is not easy to define because YOUR definition will more than likely be different from MY definition. I can't even start to formulate one so just bare with me ok? ok...

Now you might be thinking well if I have a lot of nice expensive clothes I must be "Fresh", right? I must disagree I feel that having the nicest most expensive clothes only makes being fresh that much easier. Having the tools is only part of the job how will you use the tools is another. Some may not look good in certain clothes or may not take advantage of their wardrobe as they should. While someone else who has a less expensive wardrobe may have items that fit them better. Also the way they put outfits together may look way better than the person who spent twice as much on their wardrobe and simply tossed on whatever had the same color.

To me it is all about the fit and how you wear your clothes just as much as it's about what you are wearing. I am definitely not saying someone shouldn't buy expensive clothes, but I am saying that it doesn't make one "Fresh" and people should not become wrapped up in only the brand and take into consideration how certain items fit you and what looks good; don't just buy it because it's cost a lot of money and people are going to recognize that. But that goes with saying that in my opinion it all depends on what you consider "Fresh"...

I hate Reality TV! I cannot stand the shows that some of these networks come up with. More specifically BET and VH1 are probably the worst, the crap that these two channels produce, are the reason why I rarely watch TV anymore well at least anything that comes after Channel 186(Comcast). Aside from sports I rarely venture past Encore, my Comcast people know what that means lol.

What happened?

To me Jordan was the best and most innovative sneaker company to hit the market at its conception, but now I feel it is the ass of industry. A joke, it seems that Jordan is making a joke of its loyal customers by producing crap. They seem to simply toss out a pair of kicks that took ten seconds to make and charge an arm and a leg for them, and for what? A shoe everybody you see will own, have on or are on their way to purchase that are simply an old Jordan model tossed on top of an air-force one sole. I actually used to like Jordan's, and still am a fan of the Jordan I's, III's, V's, VI's, X's, Spizike, Dub-Zero's...yea you get the picture. In the past Jordan seemed to take pride in the products they produced but now seems Jordan is just spitting out anything because they know people will still purchase it. Well it goes without saying I will not be purchasing any Air Jordan's anytime soon. Not that this post means anything because I'm sure I will not be a missed costumer, but it felt good letting that out lol....

Bleeding Ears

For some reason music is a big part of my life it is personal even without personal ties, I am not a rapper nor do I want to have a luxurious music carrier, though it would be nice. I am simply a fan from Led Zeppelin to Notorious BIG to The Foreign Exchange "Real" music.

I hate the legs that don't smell to pleasant and cranking the first thing you see. I get personally offended for some reason when I hear everyone around me singing the same Chorus over and over. This is one reason I do not even flick past the channels 71-77, I hate pop, crank and whatever other watered down played out sounds the first n-word with a beat machine can come up with. Please I respect the hustle but I don't enjoy the sounds you create and I will continue to bash the horrible culture that's being created. :-)
